Launch Day

We finally got her launched today. More pictures and comments later.

The Captain's granddaughter did the honors.

  1. She is beautiful! You must be very proud. Have you had a chance to form an impression of how she handles under sail and oar?

    I really love the traditional good looks of these handsome sharpies. I am planning on building a small sail/rowing boat to keep on a mooring on the Rideau river (Ontario, Canada) in front of my house, and right now its a toss up between the Chesapeake Crabbing skiff, your and Doug Hylan's versions under consideration, or Gavin Atkins' Light Trow. You've just made my decision verrry difficult now...
